On Episode 9 of Maximize Your Influence, Kurt and Steve discuss an article released by Psychology Today that confronts the “selfie”, or a picture somebody takes of themselves and posts to social media outlets like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.  As it turns out, the more selfies you post, the less people like you.  Kurt and Steve discuss why this might be.

Further building on the concept of likeability, Kurt and Steve talk about the six ways to tell if people really like you or not.  Persuading in this day and age requires a great rapport.  But then again, when hasn’t it?  Getting your prospects to genuinely like you can streamline the sales and negotiation process and limit objections and obstacles that plague other persuaders.  Apply the methods discussed in the podcast and you’ll be able to tell if people genuinely like you or not.  You’ll also find out what do do about it if they don’t.
